Test Displays, analyze Sources:

The GefenTV Mini portable Pattern Generator comes with HDMI Output and Input. This allows for Testing/Adjusting Displays using Audio and Video and EDID Test pattern, as well analyzing HDMI Sources by displaying the Content of the HDMI AVI Info File. It can be even connected between Source and Display for continuous control. It supports 25 Timings/Resolutions in SD and HD up to 1080p/60Hz and 12bit Deep-Color as well as VESA Resolutions up to 1920×1200.

HDMI1.4a 3D support:

The GTV-HD-MPSG delivers HDMI Test patterns for “Top-Bottom”, Side-by-Side” and “Frame-Packing” 3D formats up to 1080p/24Hz.

Audio Return Channel  (ARC) support:

Latest TV with integrated DVB-S, -C and –T Tuner support HDMI “ARC”. This means the received Audio Signal is sent upstream to a HDMI AV-Receiver connected to the TV’s HDMI Input. This allows leaving out an extra cable for the Audio signal. For checking those Audio Return channel Signals, the GTV-HD-MPSG can be used as an interface for sending such audio signals to AV Receivers by using TOSLink connection.

KSV counter for HDCP sources:

When distributing HDCP protected content to many Displays this relies on the sources capability of being able supporting enough KSV (Key selection Vector) for all Displays and Splitter. As this information is normally not available from the source manufacturer, adding a source to your application is often a trial-and-error game. The GefenTV HD Mini Pattern Signal Generator has an integrated HDCP KSV counter that can exactly evaluate a Source (like BluRay Player or Set-Top-Box) for the number of KSV supported. This feature is typically only available in test gear costing several thousand Euros!

Integrated Multi-Channel Audio Test Signal :

The integrated Sine Wave Generator supports LPCM 7.1Ch. 48/96kHz, LPCM 5.1Ch. 48/96kHz, and LPCM 2Ch. 48/96/ 192kHz.

Built-in “EDID Detective” :

As well as its bigger “Brother” GTB-HD-SIGGEN, the GefenTV HD-MPSG has a build in “EDID Detective” allowing for storing Display EDID and simulating it to a source for Trouble-Shooting of EDID related problems.
